What a CS Does

Culinary Specialists run Navy galleys and dining facilities. They plan menus, cook for crews of every size, manage food inventory and budgets, and keep kitchens sanitary. Some later work in officer messes or even the White House, so the skills translate well to civilian food service.

Scores That Count for CS

Navy line scores are simple sums of standard scores, and each standard score averages 50. A four-section sum of 200 is about average.
