What a PA Does

PAs tell the Coast Guard's story to the public. You write news releases, take photos and video, speak to reporters, and run official social media and web content. PAs help people understand what the Coast Guard does and answer questions about its missions. Most are assigned to district offices and larger sectors.

Scores That Count for PA

• VE + AR: Verbal Expression (Word Knowledge + Paragraph Comprehension), Arithmetic Reasoning. Study: Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning

Coast Guard line scores are simple sums of standard scores, and each standard score averages 50. A two-section sum of 100 is about average.
