What a CS Does

CSs feed Coast Guard crews on cutters, at shore units, and at special facilities. Beyond cooking healthy, good tasting meals, you plan menus, order and track supplies, manage the budget, and follow strict food safety rules. It is a great fit if you enjoy cooking and want real culinary training while keeping crew morale high.

Scores That Count for CS

• VE + AR: Verbal Expression (Word Knowledge + Paragraph Comprehension), Arithmetic Reasoning. Study: Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning

Coast Guard line scores are simple sums of standard scores, and each standard score averages 50. A two-section sum of 100 is about average.
