What a 11B Does
Infantrymen are the Army's core ground fighters. You learn to move as part of a rifle team, handle rifles, machine guns and anti-armor weapons, patrol, and hold ground in every kind of terrain. Basic and job training happen together in one combined course, and the work is physically demanding from day one.
Scores That Count for 11B
- CO (Combat) = AR + AS + MC. Study: Arithmetic Reasoning, Auto and Shop, Mechanical Comprehension
Army line scores average 100, and most people score between 60 and 140. Besides the main sections listed, the Army formula gives a small weight to your other sections too.
Other Requirements
- Red/green color discrimination
- Correctable vision of 20/20 in one eye and 20/100 in the other
