What a 2A3X3 Does
Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Airmen keep fighter and attack jets ready to fly. They inspect, service, and repair aircraft systems, launch and recover jets on the flight line, and fix problems pilots report after missions. The work is hands on, happens outdoors in all kinds of weather, and often runs on fast paced shift schedules.
Scores That Count for 2A3X3
- M (Mechanical) = AR + MC + AS + 2 x VE. Study: Arithmetic Reasoning, Mechanical Comprehension, Auto and Shop, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension
MAGE scores are percentiles: a G of 55 means you scored as well as or better than 55 percent of the reference group. Some jobs also use the TAPAS personality test or the Predictive Success Model (PSM), which are given separately.
